Motorola gained a pretty good reputation of delivering quick and complete updates for its complete Moto E, G and X smartphones last year and it appears that the products concerned this year will receive the much anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update earlier than expected.
In fact, Motorola will be among the first (if not the first) manufacturer to offer Lollipop favoured Android updates to its devices. Devices confirmed to get the bits include last year’s Moto E, Moto G, Moto G and well as the new Moto G and Moto X. The Verizon Droid Ultra, Ultra and Mini will also be eligible for the update, although their respective firmware builds might be released months after being approved by the carrier.
Motorola has so far not yet an specific dates for the update roll-out but we should hear more on this soon.
