As we are getting closer to the actual launch (rumoured for mid-October) of the new Nexus smartphone, more photos have emerged, this time they are allegedly showing the front of the Nexus 6 codename Shamu. From these two pictures we can distinguish the familiar design similar to the one of the new Moto X, even though it is encased in a rubberized casing. Due to the fact that there aren’t any nearby objects to compare it against, we can’t say for sure if it’s a 5.9-inch device as previous rumours hinted out, but since it’s in a woman’s hand (which usually are smaller and more graceful), we believe that it is slightly smaller than that.
These pictures also confirm the speakers position on the device, which are placed at the top and at the bottom of the screen, the volume rocker and the power button position looks on par with previous rumours, both are placed slightly lower than usual, for easier reach. We also have a tid bit of information about Android L UI. The on-screen navigation buttons are more spaced-out as you can see and the status notification bar looks solid and has smaller icons.
Is this the 5.9-inch Nexus 6? Do you want it to be?
