While HTC is only a week away from debuting its first ever small action camera and a new smartphone (HTC M8 Eye) pretty much similar to the HTC One M8, except for the cameras on the back, which will be 13MP UltraPixel duo as rumours imply, a new rumour hits the streets in Asia.
The Chinese MyDrivers publication claim HTC is going to announce a HTC One M8 Max phablet that will feature a 5.5-inch display with QuadHD screen resolution (2560 x 1440). The One M8 Max will also be powered by a Snapdragon 805 chipset from Qualcomm with a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.7GHz, 3GB of RAM, an 18MP rear-facing camera with OIS and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Unlike the HTC One Max from last year that runs Android 4.4.3 now, the One M8 Max will run Android L build, probably with HTC Sense 6.0 UI, which means that the phablet wont be out sooner than the end of October, maybe early November.
If you havent noticed it, these specs align almost perfectly with the specs sheet of the rumoured HTC One M8 Prime, another rumoured HTC device that hasn’t been outed yet.
