It looks like Samsung is going to expand its new Galaxy A lineup even further. After the announcement of the Galaxy Alpha, the next device of the A-class will be the Samsung SM-A3000, which is a mid-range smartphone targeted to the budget market segment.
This new Samsung device features a 4.5-inch qHD display, which means it boasts 540×960 pixels resolution. It runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and has 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB storage initially, that could be expanded to up to 64GB via the microSD card slot found on-board. The SM-A3000 provides two cameras, the main one being 8MP, and the secondary one 5MP.
Samsung equipped this device with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, which is the latest version available as of the date of writing this article. The smartphone also comes with a full set of connectivity features, including the standards WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM-Radio and even 4G LTE. The dimensions of this phone are also kept to a minimum. It’s just 130mm tall, 65.5mm wide and 6.9mm thick.
The price of the Samsung SM-A3000 is still not known, but it’s reasonable to expect this device to lie in the $200-$300 price range, maybe even lower. We’ll know that for sure when Samsung officially announces this Galaxy A smartphone, probably alongisde Galaxy A5 (SM-A500F(
