Samsung SM-A5009 sighted at TENAA Certification in China

Samsung SM-A5009

This year Samsung Electronics pretty much failed to impress its fans with the Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone, hence the immediate launch of the Galaxy Alpha, which is probably Samsung’s best-ever built smartphone. Galaxy Alpha is the first of the many to come devices that will be released under the Galaxy A series name.

In fact, according to a recent listing by TENAA, the Electronics Certification Authority in China, Samsung will launch soon a new device dubbed Samsung SM-A5009 on the Chinese market.

TENAA’s website spills out the specs sheet of the Samsung SM-A5009. It appears that it comes with pretty much similar specs as Galaxy Alpha except its slightly larger in size – 139.3 × 69.7 × 6.7mm, weighs in at 126 grams and from the looks of it, it has a similar premium feel thanks to the its metal chassis that binds together the plastic body and the 5″ HD (1280 x 720 pixels) OLED display.

Samsung SM-A5009 packs a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU (likely a Snapdragon 400 chipset), 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage (microSD card slot included), Android 4.4.4 with the latest TouchWiz UX, 13MP main camera, 8MP front-facing, we assume for all those selfie-addicts out there. This phone is GSM,CDMA and TD-LTE ready and it will be available soon in Black or White colours.
