There is a whole industry created around the so called “selfie” trend and Samsung Electronics is looking to capitalize on it too. In fact the South Korean OEM is looking to launch a new smartphone soon dubbed Galaxy Grand Prime.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime has been caught in the wilderness of Vietnam in several pictures, revealing a familiar Galaxy series design. The new selfie oriented smartphone is equipped with a 5MP front-facing camera, which according to one of the photos that has just leaked is able to take photos at a maximum 2576 x 1932 (4:3 ratio) pixels resolution.
The source of this images says the Galaxy Grand Prime will also feature an 8MP main camera, 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) which is not that great, it is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, no 4G LTE connectivity only 3G but with dual SIM slots, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, micro SD and Android 4.4 Kitkat.
The all new Galaxy Grand series phone is due October in Vietnam. At this point there are no details regarding availability on other markets nor information on its price tag, however, since it looks like an affordable device, it could go around for $200 to $300.
