Ascend G7Ascend G7 announced at IFA as an all-metal smartphone at cheap.

While everyone has been focused and excited about the latest gadgets from manufacturers such as Samsung, Sony, HTC or LG, Huawei surprised the tech media today with it’s all metal Ascend G7 smartphone which is incredibly thin (7.6mm) and affordable.

Huawei Ascend G7 is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset from Qualcomm clocked at 1.2GHz unlike the HTC Desire 820 or VIbe Z2 that come equipped with a Snapdragon 615 at 1.4GHz, it has 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage (micro SD slot included for up to 64GB), 5MP front-facing and 13MP rear-facing camera and a 3,000 mAh battery to light up the 5.5-inch 720p display.

The Ascend G7 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the new version of Emotion 3.0 UI on top of it (see pictures).

Huawei says the Ascend G7 will cost £200 / $325 and it will be available as of November in silver, dark grey and gold colours like the iPhone 5S, except the G7 looks much better.
