Lenovo has just unveiled a new affordable Android-based tablet dubbed the Tab S8, which is their first device equipped with an Intel SoC.
The Tab S8 is Lenovo‘s first 8 inch Intel Atom-powered Android tablet.Specification wise, the Lenovo Tab S8 features an 8 inch WUXGA 1920×1200 pixels display( pixel density of 283ppi) and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. An important fact to mention is that as stated above,this is Lenovos’ first Android tablet to utilise an Intel chip ( Intel Atom Z3745) .The Intel processor features Burst Perfomance Technology which provides raw processing power on demand only,which helps manage your battery consumption.
The Lenovo Tab S8 also features 2GB of RAM,16GB of storage as well.Unfortunately there is no option of expanding the storage through MicroSD. (No memory card slot). The Lenovo Tab S8 has an 8 MP autofocus camera rear facing camera which has a f/2.2 lens with an LED flash.The front facing camera has a 1.6-megapixel HD fixed focus front-facing camera.
The Lenovo will be available with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.A large 4290mAh Li-ion battery which has been stated to deliver at least 7 hours of usage time and up to 400 hours of standby time.Front facing speakers are also present.Pricing of the device will start from $199.The Lenovo Tab S8 will be available in various colours such as Blue,Canary Yellow,Ebony and White.
