Sony announces its first mid-range waterproof smartphone, the Xperia M2 Aqua. It’s practically identical to the Xperia M2, which was announced at MWC this year, plus its IP65/68 rating.
The Xperia M2 Aqua is just an average smartphone in terms of specs, featuring a 4.8-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP camera, 2300mAh battery, and so on. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sony’s Xperia UI on-top.
Sony will release this smartphone in the Autumn of 2014 in several markets, including Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
