AscendHuawei’s September 4 Ascend event in Germany linked to lucky number seven. What could it be?

Huawei are set to release a brand spanking new flagship smartphone at this year’s IFA in Berlin, the Chinese manufacturer have released a teaser image showing the¬†silhouette of a phone along side the September 4th date.

Various pundits have speculated that due to the phone on the image representing a number 7 that the soon to be released will either be the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 or the Ascend D7 (rumoured D3), but that’s about the extent of the information we can gain from the image, other than it looks like it has a similar form factor and size to the current Huawei Ascend P7.

Some other rumours floating around are that the purported device will be rocking a Kirin 920 octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM alongside a 6 inch panel which could pack more pixels than the LG G3’s QHD screen.

That’s all the information we’ve got at current, but looks like we’ll get the full details on September 4th, where we will also see Sony and Samsung announce some new additions to their line.
