The purported Nexus 9 tablet which apparently be made by HTC has been referred to as many things such as; Flounder, Volantis and also the Nexus 8. Some hardware details about the up and coming tablet have been discovered on a Korean communication regulators site, and they look very impressive.
On the site, the Nexus 9 is referred to as “0P8210000,” the same codename which showed up on an @evleaks image a while back, which also named the Nexus 9 as “Flounder”. The Korean site doesn’t give away any spec information but an account created recently on Twitter with the handle @upleaks has given some insight into what we can expect.
The Nexus 9 will be rocking a 64-bit Tegra K1 processor, a healthy 4GB of RAM, NFC and will be running Android L out the box. This is definitely a significant spec bump if these rumours do materialize, that will also be reflected in the price with the Nexus 9 starting at $399 now, $100 more than its predecessor.
