Yesterday, Asus introduced on the local market (Taiwan) a couple of new 4G LTE Android devices, the PadFone S and ZenFone 5 LTE, both running Kitkat with ZenUI.
The PadFone S is the latest Android hybrid device from Asus, combining the world of the smartphone with the world of the tablet.
The smartphone part of the PadFone S feature a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 441ppi. The tablet part/screen feature an IPS panel with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and 255ppi. Going back to the smartphone it packs a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, 13MP camera, 2,300 mAh battery and it measures 9.98 mm in thickness and 150 grams. The tablet part comes with a built-in 4,990 mAh battery, measures 11.6 mm in thickness and 514 grams.
On the software side, the Asus PadFone S runs on Google’s Android 4.4 Kitkat and the ZenUI installed on top of it, which brings more functionality to this device.
PadFone S costs 9,999 Taiwan dollars, about $335 USD and it is available in Black or White colors.
