The chocolate flavoured version of Android is still on the rise despite having only grabbed less than a quarter of the gigantic Android pie. The latest Android platform distribution figures from Google collected during the last week also show a significant decrease in Jelly Bean’s share.
All three Jelly Bean versions (4.1-4.3) combined accounted for 56.4%, down from 58.4%. Ice Cream Sandwich stood at 11.4, a slight decrease of 0.9% over last month’s figure. Android 2.3.x Gingerbread which is pretty much considered legacy at this point holds on still with its mere 13.5%, having lost 1.4%.
At this rate Android 4.4.x KitKat will easily conquer most of Jelly Bean’s realm in a couple of months, it’s only a matter of time before Jelly Beans dips below the 50% mark.
