Ascend P6 receives Android 4.4 in Europe, the Dutch among the first to receive it.
Its been a while since we’ve heard news about Huawei’s intentions of upgrading the Ascend P6 to KitKat, but now that the Ascend P7 is out, users in the Netherlands report that the software is pushing out over the air.
Huawei Ascend P6 users in some western European countries (likely the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy) are eligible for an upgrade to Android 4.4. The file size of the latest firmware is 790MB and bring some new features to the table aside from what KitKat already has.
The upgrade will add filters to the camera to beautify photos, adds watermark mode to the Camera app so that a user can directly watermark the pictures is taking, Phone manager that provides features like file cleanup, power management or performance boost and other stability fixes and improvements to the overall performance of the smartphone.
