100k LG G3 sold in South Korea in a little over a week since launch announcement.

LG’s 2014 smartphone the G3 has got off to a roaring start, less than one week since the highly anticipated device was released on May 28th LG has managed to sell 100,000 units making it the most successful smartphone sales in LG’s history. The Korea IT times reports that the G3’s daily sales volume was between 20,000 and 30,000 units, which is a lot higher than the G2s 10,000 daily sales figures.

The driving force of the G3’s success has been its eye watering spec list, sporting some of the highest end specs currently on market, or ever on the market for that matter. The G3 is rocking a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset backed up by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. No doubt the star of the show is the G3’s 2560 x 1440 qHD display boasting 551 pixels per inch, far higher than any other Android device currently available. The G3 also has a 13 megapixel rear facing camera which boasts new laser autofocus.

The LG G3 is dominating Samsung’s Galaxy S5 in the company’s homeland of South Korea, let’s see if LG can keep this up globally and knock Samsung off the top spot of most popular Korean brand.
