Motorola XT925 receives Android 4.4 upgrade in Europe.
Back in April, Motorola’s senior director of Software Product Management, David Schuster, said on Google Plus that RAZRD HD and RAZR M owners are only weeks away from receiving Kitkat upgrade:
“A number of people have been asking me about that status of the KitKat upgrade for the 2012 DROID family (HD and M). I am happy to report that we have made great progress and it should only be a few more weeks until you guys can enjoy it. So stay tuned…“
Well, we are not that far off, but 6 weeks later Europeans are starting to report that Motorola XT925 receives Android 4.4.2 upgrade. In fact, XDA Forum member doumworld received a 570MB firmware file upgrade OTA, which brought his device to software version 180.46.99.XT925.CEE, build KDA20.99. We are talking here about the International retail model (unlocked). Also, Motorola has confirmed that the 2013 Droid Family (Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini) will jump straight to Android 4.4.3.
Expect a software update by the end of the month for both RAZRD HD and RAZR M, and lets not forget that Motorola is already deploying upgrades to Android 4.4.3 for the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E world-wide.
