Dell introduces new Venue KitKat-running tablets at Computex 2014

Dell announced eight new products today at Computex in Taipei, including a couple of new Dell Venue Android tablets, which both have a sharp display, have a powerful chip running and the show and come in a new lighter and thinner package.

The Venue 7 and 8 run intel’s latest Atom Z3460 and Z3480 (Merrifield) processors respectively. The screens of the two tablets have improved viewing angles, the 7-inch model comes with an HD screen, while the 8-incher sports a Full HD screen and they have premium ” Wave’s MAXXAudio Pro” audio technology which we’ve been told has incredible audio technology. Both tablets are running Android 4.4 KitKat unlike last year models that were running Android 4.2, and are being marketed by Dell just as  good at productivity as they are for media consumption. +

Dell is launching these products first in the US, starting with the two Venue tablets which launch on July 1st for $159.99 (7 inch) and $199.99 for the 8 inch.

There’s no word on whether any of Dell’s tablets will make it across the channel and if they do how much they’ll cost. As always we’ll keep you updated as information comes in
