Galaxy Tab S 8.4

We’ve seen various leaks suggesting that Samsung will launch two new tablets at a press event next month. Rumour has it that we will see two brand new tabs added to Samsung’s portfolio, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (SM-T700) and Tab S 10.5 (SM-T800). We’ve seen quite a bit of information in the way of photos and also a leaked table which detailed some of the specs we expect to see these two guys have.

Now we’re seeing more details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 emerge, the purported tablet has shown its face on popular bench-marking app AnTuTu  giving us an insight into some of the hardware and software we can expect to see from these two devices.

First of all is the tab’s display which according to this leak will have a Quad HD, Super AMOLED screen with a 2560 x 1600  resolution, under the hood will be a Samsung Exynos 5420 chipset clocked at 1.9 GHz and backed up by 3GB of RAM.

We can expect the Galaxy Tab 8.4 to come with 32GB of on-board storage, no word on if that will be expandable via the microSD slot, naturally it will also be running Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.4 will feature a 2 megapixel front facing camera and a 8 megapixel shooter round the back, just like it’s bigger 10.5 inch sibling.

As always we recommend you take this information with a pinch of salt, Samsung is holding a press event on the 12th of June where they are widely expected to officially unveil the two purported Tab devices.
