It’s been a while since we heard news of the purported cheaper One M8 Ace Vogue, it’s been buried under recent news from twitter user @evleaks about an even more premium version of the HTC One M8, the M8 Prime.
Well, the more budget M8 Ace is back in the spotlight with a leak showing a full spec list, the device’s price and when we can expect to see it in stores. Although, the M8 Ace Vogue is supposed to be a cheaper variant than the critically acclaimed One M8, the specs read exactly the same, we can expect to see a; 5 inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 801 chip helped along by 2GB of RAM.
The Ace will also be rocking Android 4.4.2, Sense 6.0 and the awesome Boomsound speakers.
The difference between the M8 and it’s cheaper variant is on the outside, HTC have used cheaper materials such as poly-carbonate and other plastics apposed to the One M8’s premium 90% aluminium chassis. Also noticeably absent is the One M8’s duo-camera used for adding foreground and background effects after the image has been taken. Like the HTC One 2 Mini, the Ace will feature a 13 megapixel snapper instead of a 4 “ultra-pixel” one found on the regular M8.
One key factor in the difference between the One M8 and the Ace is the price, the Ace Vogue is rumoured to be priced at $451 (£267) considerably less than the £500 plus price tag the One M8 carries .
