HTC One Mini 2,the smaller sized version of the One M8 now has regulatory approval to sell in Taiwan. This was after Taiwan’s communications regulator, the National Communications Commission (NCC), allowed the device to be sold in the domestic market.

On the NCC’s website, it states that the HTC One Mini 2 had received approval on May 5th hinting that the device could be available in local stores in the coming weeks.Nothing else was revealed from the NCC website apart from the fact that the device will support 4G connectivity on the 700 MHz, 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies.

This should come as good news to Taiwan based HTC fans who had to wait to get their hands on the device. The HTC One Mini 2 is said to sport a 4.5 inch 720p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, a 13 megapixel camera and a premium design like its big brother, the HTC One M8.

Update: HTC has just went ahead and announced the One Mini 2 confirming next month availability on the EMEA and Asian regions.
