The lucky residents of South Korea awoke this morning to see Samsung pushing out the 4.4 KitKat update to the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet. The update will come as an over the air update and will also be available for download via Samsung Kies. As well as updating the version of Android that the Note is running the firmware will be updated to firmware build M500WKXUBND9.

The Android 4.4 update will bring all the enhanced features and improved performance that can be found on other Galaxy devices, such as; the icons on the status bar changed to white, battery life improved, improved performance, wireless printing support and full screen album art for your music.

Samsung has chosen their home country of South Korea to start the update roll out and within the last few hours there has been reports that users in Poland have received the update, fuelling speculation that a European-wide update won’t be far away.
