Some images have emerged today showing the yet to be released Asus Memo Pad 7 (ME176C) which is purported to be running on Intel’s newly announced Bay Trail platform.
Asus’s new device will reportedly come with an Intel Atom Z34745 quad-core processor under the hood which has been clocked at 1.33GHz with 1GB of RAM to help along.
The new Asus Memo Pad 7 display will apparently measure at 7 inches and feature a 1280 x 800 HD resolution, which is pretty low for today’s standards. Looks like this is going for the mid and entry level market segment. We can also expect to see the unreleased Asus tablet available in flavours of 8GB and 16GB with support for extended storage via the microSD slot.
If you’re into taking selfies or skyping you’ll be pleased to know the Asus MeMo Pad 7 will feature a 2 megapixel snapper upfront and a 5 megapixel one round the back for shooting video and taking pictures.
The MeMo pad will also come running Android 4.4 KitKat, details are pretty sparse now on any other aspects of the device or when and where it will be released, although Asus are expected to officially unveil the MeMo Pad 7 next month.
