One M8 Mini first image
Another list in the long list of HTC One M8 Mini rumours has hit our inbox today folks, this time in the shape of a professional looking image, which could potentially be a retail render image.
HTC released a mini version of their HTC One M7 flagship last year, so it wouldn’t really take anyone by surprise if HTC were to replicate that strategy. This is the first time we’ve potentially seen the device in the flesh, despite numerous rumours talking of its release, specifications etc. The image shows the device in what looks like a plastic cover, presumably to keep it protected while the image is being taken.
The design aesthetic has been kept pretty much the same as HTC One M8, the only notable differences being obviously, the phone is smaller and that the duo camera on the rear is absent. That being said the One M8 Mini will reportedly come with an impressive 13 megapixel shooter on the back, other than that we can expect to see some pretty middle of the road specs, exactly what you’d expect from a Mini. The 4.5 inch device will come with a 720p display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.4GHz and backed up by 1GB of RAM. The One Mini will also come rocking the latest version of Android and HTC Sense which is 4.4 and 6.0 respectively.
This latest rumour suggests the smartphone could initially be a Verizon exclusive in the U.S, with no word on when it could be released internationally, so far this is just a rumour so, remember to keep a pinch of salt handy.
