Knock Code feature comes to LG G2 in Europe through minor software update.
LG hasn’t forgotten its flagship of 2013, the LG G2, which is still one of the most powerful devices on the market. It has received its Android 4.4.2 KitKat update just more than a month ago, and it has been served with a new KitKat release today.
The new firmware version is known as V20D, and it’s for the Europe Open model. It’s just 43MB big and despite that the changelog says ‘App updates’, the new software carries new functionality. As promised, LG brought the Knock Code feature from the G Pro 2 to the G2. I have applied the update and tested this function on my own G2, and it works really well.
The update also brings new lock/unlock sounds, which are more pleasant to me. LG might have cooked something else into this package that I haven’t found out yet, but the major thing is the Knock Code functionality.
LG is pushing this update over the air, so if you have an LG G2, go to the update center and check for updates.
