Like quite a few low to mid range smartphones recently the Joy will have dual-sim capabilities and be available in black and white for $138 (£81) the device will go on sale in Indonesia soon, no word on where and when it’ll be available internationally.
The entry level Oppo Joy will have a MediaTek SoC running the show with a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex-A7 CPU with 512MB of RAM helping it all along. There’s a 4 inch WVGA screen and 4 GB of on-board storage which thankfully can be expanded via the mciroSD slot.
Regarding the device’s cameras, there’s a 3 megapixel shooter round the back and a 0.3 megapixel one upfront, not exactly ideal for selfies, but good enough for taking basic pictures.
We’ll keep you posted on updates regarding the phone’s availability outside of Indonesia.
