Today was the most important day in the short life of the newly launched company named OnePlus. The mobile maker unveiled its first ever Android-based smartphone called OnePlus One, that packs a 5.5-inch Full HD screen and other premium features.
OnePlus One weighs in at 162 grams, measures 8.9 mm in thickness and it comes with a premium housing surrounded by a chrome outer rim that gives a touch of elegance to the slightly raised display which is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 3.
Under the hood, OnePlus One smartphone packs a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 3GB of RAM, Adreno 330 GPU and a 3,100 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery that lasts a whole day according to the OEM.
Other features include a 13MP main camera (the best in its class according to OnePlus), capable of 4K shooting, a 5MP front-facing camera, built-in stereo speakers at the bottom, a micro SIM slot, 4G LTE, multi-colored notification LED, while the operating system is CyanogenMod 11S based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
OnePlus One will be available as soon as Q2 (2014) in Silk White and Sandstone Black colors starting at $299 for the 16GB and up to $349 for the 64GB model.
