Pantech is the third-largest mobile maker in Korea mostly known for its premium Vega series, but also known on the US market for its affordable devices.

The South Korean OEM is readying a new device for 2014, a beast of a phone according to the recent AnTuTu benchmark results listing. Pantech Vega IM-A888S or better known as Vega Iron 2, will be equipped with a 2K / Quad HD display of unknown size (likely 5 to 5.7″), thats 4 x 720p screen pixels resolution.

Vega IM-A888S will also feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chiset, with a quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, an Adreno 420 GPU and the latest version of Android, KitKat. Such hardware configuration beats even the HTC One M8 and Galaxy S5 flagship specs.


This device could hit sale in Korea in the next couple of months.
