Samsung was rumored to be readying its next Galaxy Camera based on the Galaxy S5 chassis according to rumors. What would have been the Galaxy S5 Zoom might actually see the light of day as the Galaxy K, K Zoom or the Galaxy K Zoom, if current reports are to be trusted.

It turns out that Samsung has invited members of the press for a special ‘Samsung Media Day’ at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore. The invites bears the ‘Kapture the moment’ tagline but mentions no preliminary details about the device. We can only assume that the South Korean giant is prepping some kind of beefier camera-oriented handset with an upgraded camera sensor or possibly new imaging technologies(s).

Not much is known about the device except for rumored specs, the handset will likely sport a 20MP main snapper paired with a secondary 2MP front facing camera. A 4.8-inch 720p display, a hexa-core Exynos 5260 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage while Android 4.4.2 KitKat runs the show. The device will reportedly carry the SM-C115 moniker.
