The Gigabyte GSmart Rey R3 isn’t equipped with top-of-the-line hardware, but it does offer enough power for the casual consumer. It features a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB storage plus a microSD card slot, 8MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing shooter. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, which frankly, is not cutting it anymore. The GSmart Rey R3 runs on the outdated Android 4.2.2 Jellybean operating system, which nevertheless still offers great user experience.
Being a dual-SIM smartphone, the GSmart Rey R3 is a bit on the thicker side, measuring 10.5mm. But it’s pretty light at 138g, including the battery. Speaking of the battery, it’s rated at 320 of standby time and just 8 hours of talk time.
We bet the Taiwanese maker will offer the GSmart Rey R3 cheap, but we still don’t know in which regions it will be released.
