Today we mark the official introduction of the HTC One M8 onto the smartphone market, a device thats even better, faster and more powerful than previous model, the HTC One, which scooped the “Best smartphone of the year” and “Gadget of the year” awards, amongst others, throughout 2013.
Now the new HTC One M8 sets a new standard with a larger 5 inch Full HD screen, a more powerful quad-core processor Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16 and 32GB storage options + microSD card slot for up to 128GB.
In addition, the smartphone packs a 2,600 mAh battery that offers up to 40% more juice in comparison to last year model. It also brings a new main UltraPixel combo camera that takes even greater shots, slapped onto a metal unibody that drops last year plastic frame. The new HTC One M8 is over 90% polished aluminum.
Software wise, the 2014 HTC One runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the latest HTC Sense 6.0 UI on top of it, which HTC likes to call it “the phones sixth sense.” The new UI has better HTC BlinkFeed social hub which allows own custom personalization, say adding just sports or technology, better HTC Zoe functionality, including a cloud platform for video highlights which HTC says that will launch later this spring.
The HTC One M8 is available now in the US and Canada from all major carriers (T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Rogers, Telus, Bell) and you can have it by tomorrow at noon if you hurry up, while the global rollout is scheduled for April 10th, including the UK, Germany, Taiwan, China or Australia.
