Retail store BIC has put Intel Si01BB new budget Android tablet up for pre-order in Japan. Like its odd name states, this tablet is powered by an Intel processor, the dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+ to be exact.
The Intel Si01BB tablet is made of aluminium, which becomes a common specification nowadays. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, not too heavily modified by BIC. It packs 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, while its CPU is clocked at 2GHz. It feats a 4000mAh battery and a 7.9-inch IPS screen with 4:3 aspect ratio. The tablet is incredibly lightweight, measuring only 380g.
Intel Si01BB tablet can be pre-ordered for 26,040 Japanese yen, which is about $254. It will arrive in stores in late April.
