Samsung announced the new Galaxy Tab series back in January curing CES2014 and it now appears that the South Korean giant is preparing to launch the Galaxy TabPro 8.4 in its home country.
With an initial price of 549,000 won (about 500 USD / 300 GBP), Samsung aims to target the sub-$500 range which is primarily filled with laptops. This particular variant of the Galaxy TabPro features a 8.4 inch (21 cm) WQXGA (2560×1600) display on SLCD panel.
Under the hood you’ll find a quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC clocking at 2.3GHz backed by 2GB of RAM backed by a 4,800mAh battery while Android 4.4.2 KitKat runs the show. The tablet sports the Magazine UX along with Multi-Windows and Samsung ‘S Apps’ as well as KNOX.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, IR, GPS and MicroSD (up to 64GB). Buyers will also get 100GB of Dropbox for two years and Hancomm Office suite.
