HTC asks you to “Save the date” for the launch of their 2014 flagship phone

HTC invites us to Save the date for the launch of their 2014 flagship phone, the HTC One 2 (M8).

Last year HTC announced their critically acclaimed HTC One with a simultaneous launch event in New York City and London, and they plan to do the very same thing again this year and also presumably to recreate the same success as last year’s one.

The date HTC are asking you to mark in your calendars is March 25th, which is surprising as it’s almost exactly a month after Samsung plan on announcing 2014’s Galaxy S5.

Recent leaks regarding the new HTC device; codenamed the M8, suggest in terms of design it will be an incremental update, with it remaining relatively similar albeit slightly larger. The new One (Or Two?) is also where HTC will debut its new HTC Sense 6.0 software on top of Android, last year they debuted the HTC Blinkfeed which condensed all your social and news updates into one feed, so perhaps HTC have a few new tricks up their sleeve in regards to software.

A late launch and conservative design change could be a bad move for HTC especially with Samsung supposedly overhauling their usual design with the S5. We’ll have to wait and see what March 25th has to offer.
