LG‘s popular lineup of budget smartphones, the L series, has come that far to be updated with the third generation of devices, which are ready to be announced at MWC 2014. The initial LG L Series III lineup has been confirmed, it includes the LG L40, L70 and L90.
The LG L40, as expected, is the smallest of the bunch. It packs a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 3MP camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage and either a 1540 or 1700mAh battery, depending on the market. The L70, on the other hand, packs an inch-bigger 4.5-inch display of WVGA resolution, 1GB RAM, 4GB storage, VGA front-facing camera, 2100mAh battery and either a 5 or 8MP rear-facing camera, again depending on the region.
The LG L90 is the biggest dog, featuring a 4.7-inch display of qHD resolution,1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 2540mAh battery, 8MP rear-facing camera and 1.3MP front shooter.
All smartphones run on Android 4.4 KitKat skinned with LG’s UI and are powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
This may not be everything LG will have to offer at MWC 2014. There could be one or two higher-end devices on LG’s booth, like the LG G Pro 2. We’ll see.
