Alleged HTC Desire 8 mid-range phablet device leaks, could launch by this fall.
HTC has recently said that they are shifting focus towards low-end segment in search for profit as the high-end and popular HTC One series, including the award-winning HTC One flagship phone couldn’t keep afloat HTC’s somewhat sinking boat.
One of HTC’s new affordable devices could be the HTC Desire 8 touted as a mid-range Android phablet. According to the source that also leaked the above purported render image, HTC Desire 8 will feature a 5.5-inch, 13 megapixels rear-facing camera, 5MP front-facing camera. The render also tips for stereo speakers (unclear if they are HTC Boomsound or not). The same image fails to show the navigation/menu keys, which makes us think whether this image is for real or just a hoax. Desire 8 is also said to feature dual SIM technology under the hood, which is usually embedded into devices that are headed to the Asian markets.
It’s a long shot but it could have some truth in it (the name of the device), can’t say the same about its hardware rumored specs.
What do you think?
