Clove Technology today announced they are starting to take pre-orders for the newly announced Xperia E1.
Sony Xperia E1:
The Sony Xperia E1 was announced earlier this month as an entry level Android phone. The device features a 4 inch WVGA touch screen running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a MicroSD slot for cards up to 32GB and comprises some nifty features such as a stand alone Walkman button, Shake controls and a speaker that can put out a massive 100 Db of sound, which is roughly equal to a passing underground train or a blow dryer. The whole thing is powered by a dual core processor, so you won’t lag in any tasks you try to accomplish and with a 3MP camera on the back, pictures can be shared over social networking sites.
Ok, these may not be the most impressive stats of all, but for a entry level phone priced at just £134.99 from one of the world’s leading makers, it’s a good deal. Maybe as a starter phone for the kids, or even a spare for when yours is broken?
The Clove.co.uk blog, which made the announcement this morning, doen’t know an exact date for when the devices will be dispatched (yet), but note
[…] we are expecting this sooner rather than later and will update both here and on the product page as information becomes available.
While our sources indicates toward an official date set for March, the Xperia E1 could be arriving sooner in the UK through retail shops.
At this time, the Sony Xperia E1 is only available to pre-order in Black and White at the stunning price of £134.99 ($223.81/€163.69) including the 20% VAT obligatory in the UK. Clove.co.uk do ship to many different locations (including the USA with postage starting at $25.50).
Clove have a short video with a demo of the phone which you can see here:
Clove.co.uk are taking Pre-orders of the Sony Xperia E1 from their website (please note, price and launch date not confirmed at this time, but will keep you posted).
