Leaks in the mobile smartphone, tech world now-a-days are a common occurence. OEM’s always find it hard to keep their secrets, with devices and their hardware specifications being revealed even before their actual launch, sometimes months ahead. Sony decided to take control of the situation on its Xperia prototypes and added some extra rules to the “No more leakage” policy within the company as you can see in the picture below.
It basically shows what happens when anyone tries to install a benchmarking app like AnTuTu on a prototype Sony Xperia device. In truth, using such apps does actually lead to specs of the device being revealed.Thats is what Sony are trying to curb. Apparently the pop up isnt just a warning, but actually does stop the apps from being loaded.
