Dell has started pushing out a software update. Venue 7, Venue 8 receive Android 4.3 upgrade.
The new year has come with new surprises especially if you are a proud owner of the October released Dell Venue 7 and Dell Venue 8. Android 4.3 has started rolling out to most Venue owners and amongst some of the speculated improvements includes improved focus, picture quality, touchscreen response and the overall response of the overall operating system. The speculation during the release period was to have the jump from the original 4.2.2 (Jellybean) to 4.4 Kitkat) but seemingly as they say, good things come in small portions and this is what Dell is offering to its customers.
You should receive some kind of notification telling you that an upgrade is ready for your Venue tablet, but when in doubt, you can always check manually for the update under settings. All we hope Dell achieves is to have the Android 4.4 Kitkat running by the third quarter of this year.
