Sony launching Xperia Z Ultra case for QX10 / QX100

Sony’s range of attachable lenses the Sony DSC QX10 and Sony DSC QX100 caused quite a stir when they were released last year, the mountable lenses could be wirelessly connected to a large swathe of Android devices and even iPhones too, the only problem was they were very ergonomic, they mount didn’t snuggly fit on some of the phones creating issues when tying to get the perfect snap.

This was especially true for the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, the lenses weren’t able to mounted directly onto the phone, meaning users had to operate them remotely, so to remedy this Sony has announced that they will be launching a back case for the Xperia Z Ultra which will allow users to easily attach both the QX10 and QX100 onto the phone. The device is being launched in January, will be available in black and white variants and will retail at HK$238 (£19, €22, $31) unfortunately there’s only plans to launch it in Hong Kong at the moment but hopefully a world-wide launch will occur as 2014 rolls on.
