WiseFone 7550s is ZTE’s own take on the octa-core chipset segment, according to recent sources.
Sporting an octa-core processor is the latest thing in the mobile industry, and while a couple of devices equipped with such chipsets (OneTouch Idol X+, Gionee Elife E7) has been introduced last year, more such devices are yet to come.
CES 2014 is the perfect stage for a debut. Mobile makers like Samsung (Exynos 6 Octa), LG (LG Odin), Huawei, AllWinner or Rockchip will all introduce their own SoC’s based on true octa-core configuration.
The latest rumored mobile maker to announce such a chipset at CES 2014 is China’s ZTE Corp. WiseFone 7550s is, according to Weibo social network leak (see photo up top), the name of its future octa-core SoC. Unfortunately no information regarding CPU clock frequency, nor any details about GPU, all we know is that it is an in-house developed chip.
