Nvidia upgrades Tegra Note 7 to Android 4.3

NVIDIA Tegra Note

Some of you may still be confused by the number of Nvidia Tegra Note 7 variants out there – Advent, Xolo, EVGA, just to name a few. When Nvidia announced Tegra Note 7 back in September they said that this is a platform, both software and hardware, developed by the company based on Nvidia Tegra 4 chipset and Android 4.2 operating system for its partners. Nvidia is also taking care of the OTA (over the air) software updates.

Today, Nvidia is announcing the Android 4.3 upgrade rollout, that brings a handful of novelties such as stylus support for left-handed users and improvements in overall response, a DirectStylus help option found in Settings, insert notification on the notification bar, and given users the ability to capture the notification bar with full-screen capture. The camera gets always-on high-dynamic range (AOHDR) capability, which provides more lifelike images across a range of lighting conditions. AOHDR utilizes Tegra 4’s processing power and Chimera computational photography architecture. We’ve also added video stabilization for shake-free video, in addition to tuning and optimizations to improve camera performance under certain lighting conditions.

There are some security and bug fixes, and there’s also support for moving apps and data files from internal storage to an external microSD card.

The update is available as of now for  EVGA, ADVENT, Gigabyte, Shenzhen Homecare Technology, ZOTAC and XOLO models too.
