Alessandro Savelli designs Jardin Secret, a range of extremely expensive Android smartphones

When something costs more than fifty thousand dollars you expect it to not look tacky, unfortunately that’s not the case with fashion designer Alessandro Savelli’s latest pop Jardin Secret at the smartphone industry.

The official web page for the device doesn’t have much in the way of in depth information detailing the internals of the Jardin Secret phone, but for an eye watering £35,000 ($57,000) you can get your hands on;

  • Android Operating System. Runs also Google apps Maps, Gmail, YouTube etc.
  • 32 GB of total memory
  • Micro USB
  • Bluetooth
  • WIFI 802.11 b/g
  • GSM QuadBand coverage worlwide (850/900/1800/1900 Mhz)
  • WCDMA (3G) Triband (850/1900/2100 Mhz), download HSDPA max 7.2 Mbps, upload HSUPA 5.8 Mbps
  • PC and Mac synchronisation

So, no word on the processor, or version of Android that it’ll be running, but of course it’d be foolish to presume the target audience for this device is lovers of tech, it’s definitely for the lovers of bling.

One of the retailers chosen for selling the pimped out device is Harrods of London, known for its catalogue of luxury items. One of the phones dubbed the “Savelli Champagne Diamond” is crafted from 18-carrot rose gold and 395 individual diamonds, making the gold iPhone 5s look like a joke in comparison. There’s also various other models, one fashioned from alligator skin.

So, if you have a spare £35k, don’t concern yourself with animal welfare and have a penchant for shiny rare metals make your way along to Harrods and let us know what you think of the device.
