The Oppo R1 was unveiled today by Oppo itself, teasing its abilities to capture great photos in low-light situations. But other than that, our knowledge of the device is still very limited; we have only confirmed that the back camera will be 8MP, whereas the front one will be 5MP, and the display will be a 5-inch 540x960p unit. The processor is clocked at 1.2GHz and has 4 cores, but its manufacturer is still not known. This scarce, but valuable info comes from Tenaa, the Chinese wireless certification.
Word is that Oppo will launch the R1 late in December. The retail price is yet to be disclosed, but we wouldn’t expect it to hit the ceiling.
