Toshiba announced earlier this morning a new entry-level Android tablet – Toshiba AT374, which is powered by a Rockchip RK3188 chipset, quad core 1.6GHz CPU and a Mali-400MP4 GPU. Overall specs are mearly modest, however it brings Android 4.2 Jellybean experience at a low price.
Other Toshiba AT374 specs include 1GB of RAM, 7-inch wide multi-touch WSXGA TFT display with a 1024×600 screen resolution, 16GB of built-in storage + a microSD card slot, an 8 hours battery, 3MP rear-camera, 0.3MP VGA in front, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, micro USB, 3.5mm jack, GPS and stereo speakers. Addiionally, AT374 weighs in at 345 grams and it measures exactly 10.9mm in thickness.
The new tablet will go on sale in Japan later this month for an estimated 30,000 JPY (about $300 USD).
