Android 4.4 update for LG G2 could arrive in the next 30 days

LG G2 owners in France could be getting a software update to Android 4.4 by the end of the month or early next month, according to a roadmap published by French carrier SFR on its website (eventually taken down).

Google already announced Android 4.4 and its availability for the Nexus range, which includes updates for Nexus 4, both Google¬†Nexus 7 tablets, Nexus 10 and Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google edition, so, it makes sense for mobile makers to speed up things regarding firmware upgrades, now that the new version of Android is optimized at its core to make OEM’s life easier when it comes to software optimization for a specific device.

HTC has also announced first wave of upgrade for its HTC One flagship device which will be available within 90 days world-wide.

The upgrade could also be available within the same timeframe for LG G2 users in America and Asia, however LG Electronics hasnt said a word on this matter yet. But be sure that we will keep you posted once they do.

We are expecting other mobile makers and carriers to make such announcements in the following couple of months. Stay tuned to Pocketdroid as there is more to come as soon as we have new information on Android 4.4 updates.
