UK retailer Dixons to launch Advent Vega Tegra Note, a 7-inch budget tablet powered by Tegra 4 chipset

Dixons, the UK based retailer better known as the owner of Currys-PC world has decided to step up to the plate and enter the 7 inch tablet market with Advent Vega Tegra Note. The design is based off of NVIDIA’S Tegra Note project and doesn’t hold back with the specs. It comes loaded with a 7 inch 1,280×800 display and a blisteringly quick NVIDIA Tegra 4 chip. The Advent branded Dixon’s device also comes packing 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage and round the back the camera is rocking a 5-megapixel sensor. Up top you’ll also find a 2-megapixel front facing camera.

The budget device also has Micro-HDMI out, Micro-USB and to round it all off the speedier 802.11 b/g/n wifi. If you thought all of that was enough, think again Dixon’s offering also comes with a stylus, which thanks to NVIDIA’S DirectStylus technology is promised to be remarkably responsive. All of this for an extremely modest £180, which I’m sure you’ll agree for a tablet with all the bells and whistles on is very reasonable.
