kitkatWith the Android community awash with Android 4.4 KitKat/Nexus 5 rumors and leaks to unboxing teases one can only wonder what’s going on with Google lately. Some of us are already wandering if Google will actually hold a dedicated event for this special unveiling.

Well, don’t hold your breath too long since the beans have already been spilled. By this time we pretty much know everything about the Nexus 5 while Android 4.4 KitKat, or at least how its user interface shall turn out to be, but I digress.

Something’s up at Google and we cannot help ourselves from speculating that the giant is prepping the release of those two goodies. It happens that Google just issued updates for 16 core Android Apps and services, the list put together by a Redditer already gives us a glimpse of what’s coming up next. As a matter of fact none of those updates have hit any devices right now so we can only suspect that Google will eventually be pushing them into KitKat. The list of updated apps/services include:

Google Play Services
Gmail
Drive
Calendar
Earth
Translate
Chrome
Hangouts
Goggles
Play Magazines
Keep
Wallet
Blogger
Google
AnalyticsFiber

Let’s hope that Google doesn’t keep us waiting too much, we’ve had our fair dose of rumor so far!
