S4 android 4.3

Galaxy S4 owners from India can now embrace the latest flavor of Jelly Bean. Samsung has made available the Android 4.3 firmware for the international variant (GT-I9500) of the Galaxy S4.

The bits are hitting Samsung KIES and OTA channels (in batches) as we speak. Users will likely be notified when the upgrade is ready in their region. The firmware weighs a whopping 658MB. – It’s worth nothing containing a massive list of fixes for the numerous bugs reported by users over the course of those last few months.

The changelog is as follows:

– TRIM Support
– ANT+ Support
– Samsung KNOX Implementation (KNOX bootloader and dedicated application)
– Samsung Wallet comes pre-loaded
– Improved RAM management
– Improved Display colour reproduction (Display looks much sharper than before)
– Improved TouchWiz Launcher (Much less launcher redraws and less lag)
– New Samsung Keyboard
– New Samsung Browser (Full screen by default, new tab interface and more)
– New Reading Mode (Optimises display for reading, used by only a few specific applications)
– New Camera firmware
– Minor UI tweaks (Contacts app, Flashlight Widget, dialog boxes etc)

Chances are that Samsung is already gearing up the Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 release in other regions, as always we’ll keep you updated when they’re ready for download.
