Nexus 5 briefly shows up in Google Play Store, teases 16GB for $349

Nexus 5 final

The Android community has been flooded with Nexus 4 & Android 4.4 KitKat leaks for months. We’ve seen renders, shots and even a hands-on video of a Nexus 5 running KitKat and everything seems to indicate that Google is prepping up its release.

It however appears that the Nexus 5 was accidentally listed for a short period of time on the Play Store before being pulled off eventually. The black 16GB variant pictured was priced at $349, this is significantly pricier than its predecessor but the beefier internals should justify this.

Google’s tagline for the LG-made phone as listed in the Play Store is “Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways.” As you may have noticed several icons were given a fresh look and the homscreen now appears sleeker with less clutter, this corroborates all previous rumors!

By now we know pretty much everything about the Nexus 5, the spec sheet lists a 1080p 4.95-inch screen, a Snapdragon 800 SoC with four Krait 400 ticking at 2.3GHz, LTE and internal storage that tops out at 32GB.

This unexpected appearance may indicate that the Nexus 5 announcement is only days away, this could possible end up being revealed on October 21st. We’ll keep you update if anything else pops out!
