T-Mobile Xperia Z Black

After making the rounds in Europe and Asia, Sony announced today the U.S. availability of its Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, and apparently the Smartwatch 2. Introduced just this summer the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, phablet by design will feature a 6.4 inch HD display screen, accompanied by a touch screen and handwriting recognition software. A stylus will also be recognizable but this will come at an extra cost as it’s not included in the package. The waterproof capability feature will also be a plus as the ‘survival time’ under water being 30 minutes for up to five feet.

But, without the backing of a U.S. carrier, the 3G version of the Xperia Z Ultra costs $650, and the LTE version goes for $680. Both will work with AT&T or T-Mobile SIM cards. Other specs include Triluminos display, a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 to boost up the processing power of this gigantic Smartphone, 2GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Internal storage is a slim 16GB, expandable via microSD card, and it will be available in black, white and purple.

The Xperia Z1 on the other hand is however rumoured to be headed the T-mobile carrier way though Sony hasn’t officially confirmed this claim. It is available in HSPA+ from a $669.99. tag price. This is without a doubt Sony’s finest touch as far as Smartphones is features is concerned. Its specs include a 20.7MP Sony G-Lens camera on the rear, a 5-inch 1080p Triluminos display, 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 and 2GB of RAM underneath with 16GB of on-board, and expandable storage. It’s also waterproof, which is turning out to be the basic feature when it comes to Xperia.

The Smartwatch is an improvement to the originally produced Smartwatch that didn’t do as well as it was expected to and it comes with new promises to its launch. First, it can be paired with all Android devices running ice Cream Sandwich and above. Secondly it promises 3-4 days battery life, easy setup via NFC and an ‘Android like’ user interface. But this is a gadget that is expected to face fierce competition from the Samsung Galaxy Gear  going by the admirable specs that comes with it.The Smartwatch 2 pricing isn’t as steep and will be your’s at just $199.95
